El Zopilote we warmly welcome families. Our permaculture farm offers a peaceful natural environment where children can move freely, explore safely, and connect with the richness of tropical biodiversity, flowers, wildlife, gardens, and open spaces.
We also proudly support “Colibrí,” a small alternative school and nursery run by Glenda , mother of Kai and our neighbor. Colibrí is located right here on the property, just behind the Bus Shop at the Zopilote First Entrance.
Inspired by Waldorf principles and rooted in permaculture, Colibrí offers a warm, nature-based learning environment with gardens, play spaces, creativity, and plenty of outdoor time. It is important for us, as a permaculture project, to help and collaborate with an educational initiative , especially one dedicated to children.
Traveling families are welcome to join Colibrí, even for just a few days, giving their children a unique opportunity to learn, play, and grow during their stay on Ometepe.
