Every Wednesday at 1 p.m., Gelnda guides a hands-on cacao ceremony at El Zopilote, where participants learn each step of the preparation , roasting, peeling, grinding, and awakening the cacao with intention, all in the presence of Grandfather Fire.
The ceremony includes stories about the origins of cacao, its cultural significance in Mesoamerica, and its many physical and emotional benefits. It’s a warm, inclusive gathering open to locals, expats, and travelers who want to connect with this sacred plant in a genuine and grounded way.
